if there where a phone number, [callsupport]it would stop a lot of that ,most is due to people frustions,after 3month i final got a steam ticket though to steam support, still waiting to here from them, but it something

Just that your account carries many of the characteristics of an alt account JUST for the trade forum

Maybe, maybe not. We have 1 list of forum rules. The sticky in the TF2 forum really just goes into a lot of extra details, already covered by the main rules thread. So the answer to your question, all forum rules apply everywhere.

Your question is rather generic considering it is about specifics.

I was wondering if you could make a "Compare Games"-option, so you won't have to go through the entire list, that would make things a lot easier.

Why do my threads keep getting locked? The first was locked because it was understandably turning into a small flame, but I remade it, and with no explanation it was deleted.

I don't understand why we can't. If anything, this forum is the MOST appropriate place for thread rating, since, if people use it, it might make it easier to ascertain what ideas people like most.

This is kind of an odd request, but as of now the colors available to choose from (by default) are rather "obnoxious". Is it possible to to alter the (default) color pallet to better fit the dark-background theme of the Steam Forums?

All Possible Current Default Colors:

• DarkRed

Right away you can see that some contrast too greatly with the dark colored background, while others are not even readable. The following are a list of colors I feel should be changed:

List of colors that should be changed:

• Red: Change to Red #FF4040
• Pink: Change to Pink #FF73C5
• Yellow: Change to Yellow #FFD700
• LightBlue: Change to LightBlue #90C0F0

The following are a list of colors I feel should be removed from the pallet entirely (with reasons as to why they should be removed):

List of Colors that Should be Removed Entirely:

• Black:
  unnecessary color
  
• DarkRed:
  unnecessary color
  
• Magenta:
  color is too bright, a light shade of pink is available
  
• DarkOrange:
  color is too similar to Orange making it redundant
  
• DarkGreen:
  8 shades of green is too many
  
• Green:
  8 shades of green is too many
  
• Lime:
  8 shades of green is too many, too bright
  
• PaleGreen:
  8 shades of green is too many
  
• DarkSlateBlue:
  difficult to read
  
• PaleTurquoise:
  there are already 2 shades of cyan
  
• Navy:
  impossible to read
  
• Blue:
  difficult to read against dark background
  
• DarkSlateGray:
  difficult to read against dark background
  
• Gray:
  there are 3 shades of gray
  
• White:
  unnecessary color
  

Finally, putting the changes and removals together, we get a better list of default colors on the color pallet (20 colors).

List of Default Colors after Changes:

• Red
• Pink
• Sienna
• SandyBrown
• Orange
• Wheat
• DarkOliveGreen
• Olive
• YellowGreen
• Yellow
• LemonChiffon
• SeaGreen
• Teal
• MediumTurquoise
• Cyan
• RoyalBlue
• DeepSkyBlue
• LightBlue
• DimGray
• Silver

These colors are much easier on the eyes and will greatly help increase the quality of colored-text-threads here. This did take a while to type up, but I felt obliged to express my concern over the unnecessary colors and colors that should be altered.

Not unless you re-route all the default color names to just be white.

Example: if you have a post like this:

Make the changes: DarkRed now signals #FFFFFF instead of the normal darkred color

Sure it will make it so that posts that already use these colors will be all white, but that's the point! Getting rid of all the obnoxious colors.

Another suggestion:

Is it possible to improve the ignore system such that posts and threads by ignored users don't show up at all? Currently the way it works isn't very helpful since 1) the ignored users' posts still show up (just not defaultly visible) and 2) quoted posts by the user still show up too.
