i started up the game and reggaeton music started to play in place of the music that played there before that and the game crashes randomly now

The Steam version shouldn't do that, but check your CD drive, as Solarmech said.

![]() It's your CD drive. Remove disk, enjoy half life music from the game. For whatever stupid reason, it does that frequently enough that we DO get this question a LOT. Welcome to the forums
