Exclusive cars

I was wondering...
Do I still get the exclusive steam car if I buy the game after the release date?

I find this pre order thing pretty stupid. I'd rather buy the game if it had all the special cars from all shops in the original game.
This game already have a lack of super-cars and they split the good ones with that pre order BS.

There is talk about maybe releasing a DLC pack with all the preorder cars a few months after release.
Nothing has been confirmed/denied, though, so it's just speculation for now...

Releasing the pre order cars as DLC would be a shame IMHO, and a clear sign that they will nickel and dime anything and everything as DLC, even pre order cars that has already been sold once under the label "steam exclusive".

I think the dlc idea itself is a clear sign that a company will nickel and dime anything, rather than make a content patch and encourage more people to buy the original game as has been the market model for a long time but then dlc lets people buy only the parts thay want of a game so aslong as it dosent add up to more than any other tripple a game then i dont see the problem myself,
this is a game that is likely to last as long or longer than arcade style games so again playability-to-currency-value is pretty decent on these kinds of games anyway aslong as they dont stuff us with junkers in the core game and basicaly force us to dlc anything decent because that's just totaly unfair!

also, car beg time PLEASE make a jag cx-75!!!
it's so pretty. plus turbines would sound way diffrent to normal engine noises so it'd be very unique :P

I think a better idea would be to keep the preorder cars with an exclusive paint job, then release them as DLC.

That way the people that preordered the game still get something exclusive. People still get access to the complete car set.

And besides, I thought our preorder had an item of clothing anyway?
