Your best spells

Yea, so, there are many rage threads around, people asking for help with the bugs... Why don't we talk about strategy?

What's your best spell?

Mine is Steam-arcane-arcane-lightning-fire (I don't know why do I use fire in that one). An really powerful one, doing a little 1135 damage in melee, slowing down enemies A LOT (because of lightning), more dps than simple arcane, beam, superpowerful against single target.

What's yours?

Weapon enchantment and personal shield. I just like fighting those wussies up close with my Magickal hax.

My best weapon so far is steam + lightning + arcane + fire + arcane... something...
Arcane is mainly for the slash effect.

But using earth to get those out of reach monsters is also fine, I`m not going to walk up to a goblin archer, just not worth the effort of walking.

its very simple, but i seriously love doing arcaneX5 on my sword (otherwise known as the Lightsaber spell) too bad its just a 1-time hit

Lightning-Lightning-Cold-Cold-Arcane

Freaking beam that freeze oponents and electrocute them. Bonus point if they are wet.

What's yours?

The fire negates the 'wet' effect of the steam, massively reducing damage.

Try the simpler & much more potent Steam+lightning+arcane+arcane+arcane.

As for me.
Pretty much the same cookie-cutter spells for best dmg/s.

Steam-arcane-lightningx3 is, I believe, the highest DPS spell in the game.

My two most used spells are the following:

Lightning Cold Wall: EAR-A lot of control and moderate damage for a wall. The Lightning stuns briefly and damages, and the Cold slows them and helps keep them in the lightning. EAR is also a very intuitive and quick set of buttons to hit.
Arcane Lightning Icicles: QRAS-Icicles deal full damage even if not fully charged. Charging simply limits the cone. This is a very fast and versatile spell. Up close, it destroys enemies because all the shards will strike the same target. It tends to also do a small amount of knockback/stun. You can fire several of these in rapid succession to quickly take down enemies without feeling as immobile as a Beam spell.

Try Steam, Lightning, Arcane, Shield (QFASE) with an AE (shift+right-click) cast. I have yet to see an enemy walk through it alive.

try 3 steam + arcane + lightning. 2700+ per hit.

Also, there's an arcane sword. Yes, it's exactly like a lightsaber :P

Steam + steam + arcane + lightning + lightning best combination in the game I dare say.

Best beam IMO
Steam+Steam+Lightning+Lightning+Arcane

Best AOE:
Steam+Lightning+Arcane+Arcane+Arcane

Best Cone:
Steam+Steam+Lightning+Lightning+Lighning

Best Bullet:
Ice+Ice+Ice+Ice+Rock

Best Utility Beam:
Lightning+Cold+Cold+Arcane+Arcane

This beam drastically slows anything approaching you to a crawl.
I'm not sure what the "perfect" form of this is though. It could be A+A+R+R+S it could be A+R+S+S+S, or it could be A+R+R+R+S

Not really a proper spell, but I'll throw it in anyway: Earth Spasm

Just mash the Earth key and do a cast quickly afterwards (neglect the charge beyond a second). The range is short but it's like the magical replacement of the M60.
Adding an element to it, especially fire will make a nice AoE effect near yourself. Just...don't use Arcane.
