Black Screen Problems, Help?

I start the 1st level with a friend, when going to the cellar part after the party I can see it and he has a black screen when I'm hosting. Then when he hosts I cannot see it, why?

if you skip the tutorial (press esc as host then click BANANA?!) you can bypass the problem. Not ideal but oh well.
