I'm getting a 3-4 second delay in all game sound. The sound is also very choppy and appears to be related to performance - as in I get great fps until a sound effect plays, lags, and my fps drops to 1 or 2 for a couple of seconds while the sound plays.
Anyone else got this issue? |

I have issues with the sound lagging, might not be exactly the same.
But for example if I click a button in the menu I get the little click sound, then a second later it happens again. And in game it happens with the sound, such as if the goblin guy talks he says the first word, then it restarts the conversation. Happens with the footsteps also, if I walk for 4 steps and stop, the 4 steps are played again. Almost like an echo. |

I get exactly the same thing, the sound loops back and starts playing again. This is with the demo. Couldn't play it at all, drove me up the wall
.Are you using onboard sound or seperate? I'm using Asus Xonar DX. |

...I also have Asus Xonar DX, there is a sound loop at the beginning of every sound, annoying... I just switched to my onboard soundcard for the duration of play

Asus Xonar DX here too, I was messing around with the settings on that last night and managed to get it working fine.
Funny thing was it was happening on that MUD TV which was made by the same people, but not on any other games. |

Got it working too. It seems you need to turn off GX in the audio center.
