Openworld madness.
EDIT: Precursors and Xenus 2 are now on sale on Gamersgate
If any are in need of a good... or in this case two great(!) open world games, these two might be for you: Xenus 2:White Gold (Boiling Point 2) The Precursors These two games are incredible and large! Xenus 2 have over 450 quests and The Precursors have over 350 quests. I could write about them, but I am not good with words. Read this little thread/article: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=416756 He writes with a passion about these games. The games are incredible! Especially Precursors. You can travel to several worlds and join different factions. And they cna be quite hard even on easy. But you can feel that the developers hearts and souls have been poured into the games. Especially Precursors, where you can travel to many different planets and fly through space. Xenus 2 is a big open ended Far cry 2 RPG, also an awesome open ended game. Have fun! WHERE TO BUY: Precursors: http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-PREC/precursors Xenus II: http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-XENUS2/xenus-2-white-gold EDIT: Trailers can be found further down posted by IBMe!

And you haven't heard of them because the American media don't find them cool like CODBlackOps. And it is too bad. They are from Ukraine. I like many eastern european games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R and such as they take chances... with the good and bad that follows and these are no exception. I love them, have played them a lot these last few days. Great games. |

I see now. They seem totally amazing! Gamersgate has Xenus II, and I found that there are English patches made by the community. I may just have to pick these up! I would love to see these on Steam someday. |

"2) Do you think Crysis and Metro 2033 have bad art and animation?
3) Were you baffled by S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and unable to figure out what you were supposed to do?" If the answer is yes, i hate you :3 |

I've seen some stuff about Precursors before. It does look pretty damn fun. Never heard of the other, though.

Xenus 2 is the continuation of Boiling Point: Road to Hell.
And they are DAMN FUN! They take chances and try new things unlike many mainstream games. Precursors is especially good in my opinion. Though both are very very good. Made with love for the RPG/openworld genre. |

These games are definately well worth looking at!
I noticed in the Xenus 2 White Gold, there was a road/highway - do you get to drive cars and veihcles to get to your location faster? Or is it all on foot? To be honest, it reminds me a bit of Just Cause 2 which I thought was a really good game. Precursors reminds me of Avatar ![]() On an Oblivion scale, or even a Just Cause 2 scale - what size are the worlds in these games roughly speaking? |

I know you said you didn't want to describe the games but a little description would go a long ways like; Are they first-person shooters? Third person action? RPG'ish? Sci-fi? Apocolyptic? Fantasy?

They are first person. And then when you enter a vehicle you see it from behind the vehicle. You get missions and quests like S.T.A.L.K.E.R and interact the same way. You have an inventory screen where you keep track of your loot/Items/purchased goods and food. You gain levels and you can then get perks when you level up. Sprint faster, hold breath longer, more inventory space. The precursors is set in a Star Wars universe, without being Star Wars, it is its own universe and awesome. With its very own fauna and flora. You can fly aronud in space and do space battles as well. Knind of like the X universe series Xenus 2 is the same, except it is in South America. No space stuff as it is on earth in present day. |
