This is the only solution that worked launching Single-Player Dark Messiah.Just wanted to post it here incase anyone else has this issue.

EDIT: Also,try adding mm.exe to list of excluded items for your anti-virus if it won't launch.Had to do this using Bit Defender.

Also, had an issue setting -heapsize in launch options higher than 1gb would cause the game to crash during loading maps.Even though I have 4gb ram in system.

This is fixed by patching the mm.exe with the 4gb patch found here http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php then you can set -heapsize higher than 1gb.

Thanks for this info, I just found this post before deleating the game lol, could not get it to run till I found this fix.
