Why Rift is a Good MMO

1. PVP is fun.
2. Rift events are cool as hell.
3. Crafting IMO is pretty decent.
4. You can dye your gear.
5. PVP is fun in this game. Whether its in Battlegrounds or open world.
6. If you liked wow at all, you will like this game. If you liked warhammer online at all you will like this game alot.

Its worth it just to RPPVP and have a guy to do Battlegrounds with. And the PVE is good too.

This doesn't give me any reason to play Rift though. I know a will seeing that I bought it, but this is what every other MMO says about their games.

By the looks of things you haven't played this game, instead, only seen videos and screenshots, not to mention hearing other people's opinions.

No, this thread lacks detail and is not even a summary of Rift.

Number 1, 4, 5 and 6 are all points that we've seen before. Please don't make these threads again, unless you're going to do it properly.

I will say unless you try Rift you can't fully understand. Rift needs to take down WoW as WoW took down EQ. Blizzard now invests in there new mmo more then WoW and have Activision watching over everything they do.

I agree, Rift is a good game. Still, I work 40 to 50 hours a week, so my time for gaming is limited, and I want to spend it playing GREAT games, not just good ones. And I got many good and a few great games installed. So I won't get Rift.

I don't know if you've seen recent threads (imo, nor do I care), but everyone says it's a GREAT game - superior to WoW, so if you think that's Great, this is superior!

I haven't played the beta, so I don't know. By the by, what in your opinion is a "Great" game? ^_^

I played in several rift betas. :P And I don't think that any MMORPG can be great, if it offers only a single starting area for both factions. It's something I can't stand: lack of starting areas and beeing forced to go through exactly the same content each time I want to create a char.

So, you're not buying Rift because...the first 60 minutes of the game are the same for all your alts? Wow.

In their defence, it's kind of hard to give up on something you've spent so long building up. Having to wave goodbye to your level 80s must be like shredding a book you just spent the last 5 or so years of your life writing.
