My music plays in half-life

I just installed half-life and the music I have saved on my computer plays during game play and menus. I'm confused as to how that happened. How can I fix it?

It's because you have a CD in your drive.

HL1 is keyed to play its CD regardless of it's actual installation via Steam. So, remove the disk and you'll be fine.

Yes, this happens *a lot*. So don't feel like a nub.
