FOr those that DO like the game - how's the Multiplayer?

I'm curious everyone has been talking about the single player experience, and whether the graphics are working correctly or not etc but I'm more interested in the coop multiplayer modes and whether they're short lived or have some depth and interest. I know there is no deathmatch, and it doesn't bother me that much.

So is the multiplayer any good?

thanks

I haven't played it yet as I refuse to play it with random unknowns. From what I've read around the intertubes, including here, it's highly satisfying with good team players equipped with mics.

Someone who's played it will give you a better idea though

It's all right. I've played with friends, but it gets repetitive pretty quick. There isn't enough variation for my tastes, but I've only gotten to level 14... don't know how much more there is.

what's the difference between the two modes. I think Ihorde mode is the waves mode right? And the echoes mode I'm not sure about.

I know the dlc will add more maps, dunno about more modes but yeah it does sound like it might get repetitive. I'll be playing with friends this weekend so I guess I'll find out myself.

Echoes mode is a SP score attack with mini-levels (the console demo was one of them). It's SP, just with online leaderboards.

It's fun, but if you're not playing with friends then it gets pretty boring. No one knows what teamwork means. Any "team" skillshots they get are accidental.

Then for the bonus, say you're supposed to get the shocker, you end up seeing some dude throw the guy into a cactus.

Yes there's a mode called Anarchy, which is a twist on succesfully surviving waves of enemies cooperatively. Here you not only have to survive them, you have to get a high enough score for each wave. Achieving that score demands more than everyone shooting bad guys, the big bucks are in team specific skill shots.

Well, atm the only MP mode in game is anarchy, whcih is basically a 4-men survival mode.
You need to survive and earn enough points in order to get into next wave.
Droppots for upgrade will be avalible between waves.
It seems to be endless.
Every level you advanced , there will be custom skins unlocked for your character.
That's all.

I am lv35, and getting bored so much.....just repeating the same few maps, brainless shooting all the time, and many players which is not co-operative at all...

..Ah..ok there are total 20 waves , The enemies in the last wave will be tougher than before and the numbers are doubled, after beating that you will be going back to lobby.

The multiplayer is ok, it's hard to play with randoms since you meet a lot of casual players which don't know what some skillshots mean and for that reason you can't get the bonus points. Which leads to a boring game where your sitting with the other 3 guys at an X wave for hours just because they don't know what they have to do.

With friends it's a blast for sure. Though you can still enjoy it without them but it's A LOT harder.

Nope, actually it will be easier if you try it alone, I just did that for testing how many waves are there, basically you don't need to worry about getting enough points, just survive.

As some have said, if you play with people who know what they're doing, have mics and actually team up on kills then it's fun.

Mostly, if you have a duff team that don't know what cooperation means, you simply can't progress to the next wave. Team kills are key to getting enough points.
