I thought of a "hidden category" functionnality, in order to allow people to virtually remove games from their lists.
It could be done through adding a dot before the category name (like with Linux file naming), or by any other mean. And there would be an option somewhere (in a (context?) menu, for example) to show/hide hidden categories. Ps : I've searched for same suggestions in the forum, and the only one I found is in the Idea: complete removal of games thread, and is not listed nor really visible. |

You can switch the view in the library to show only installed games?
That has worked great for me since I usually install when I buy, and uninstall when I want to forget it exists ![]() Top left (Show -> All Games) |

Good idea, but it does take a lot of room on the hard drive.

There's no reason for using that mode to take extra room on the hard drive, since you would have to access your hidden categories to install games anyway, just like you can currently view installed only and switch to view all when installing different games.

I doubt that 1TB would be enought, in fact.
But that's not the matter. I'm not going to buy a HD in order to install ALL my games, just to make a software behave as if it had a feature I'd like, but which is not present. PS: installing all games which are in your account would not only take room on HD but also a lot of bandwith and time. This kind of workaround cause more problems than it resolves. Right, but if you install the games you want to play, and only ever look at your other list when swapping games around, you very rarely have to see those particular games, and it really shouldn't be a problem for you.

I'will also completely forget some other games I may'd like to play in some cases. It's better than nothing for now, I recognize it, but my request is not about this.

In that case couldn't you use the favourites list to only view the games you want?

No, for three reasons :
1) I don't want to right click hundred of games (all games minus the few ones I want to hide) instead of few ones. 2) I want to keep my games ordered in categories (which is impossible if I set all my games to "Favorites"). 3) I want to keep the ability to "Fav" a game I like. |

There is a little clickable minus next to the categories. Or what exactly have I missed?

And let me guess, it's really a dfference if a category is just collapsed or hidden?
