I get it out of nowhere. It comes at random and then it never goes away. Soulcube is what I almost only use so its natural for me to have noticed. It's hard to say whether that light gets more intense over time.

He is saying that is the weapon 'overheating' graffic, not your computer overheating.
It is supposed to look like that after using it for a long time. |

Change your drivers. I have the very same problem, just pops out of nowhere and its not overheating, once its there it never goes away untill you restart the game. But thats pointless cause itl just come back fast. It lowers Fps too.
The effect is slightly worst in mine tho http://img842.imageshack.us/i/redemp...022701075.png/ http://img695.imageshack.us/i/redemp...022701081.png/ http://img815.imageshack.us/i/redemp...022701080.png/ I havent tried changing my drivers to see if it fixes it (too busy). But what drivers are you using?, just to see if we are using the same ones. Last edited by cyborg34573: 02-27-2011 at 07:42 PM. |

Those screenshots i posted in this topic are from my original topic asking whats wrong with it, i included screenshots so that the dev can see. He kindly responded and told me it was my drivers that is the problem. So when i saw this guy probably has the same problem i do, i posted pics in here for comparison and told him to change his drivers. I dont see anything wrong with trying to help someone out so why so annoyed? btw "multiple" posts?, it was only two posts. My original post asking whats wrong (With pics), and my earlier post in this topic trying to help out. Btw my laptop is not ****ty. It has never died on me after 3-4 years of use. It is a very durable laptop, never overheats. Just because something is old doesnt mean their ****ty .Infact it makes them really good if their not dead after all that time. I dont use this laptop for games much, it is mainly for work Im only trying to get this game to work on my laptop because i am traveling soon and id want to play a little. My main Gaming Desktop PC right now has Phenom quad, 6gigs ram, and an HD4870 x2 2Gb. Still enough to max out games today even tho the parts are old. I am also planning on upgrading to an i7 980x, 8gig DDR3, and an Sli gtx580, i just need 2 more months of paycheck. |

and fyi all laptops are ♥♥♥♥ty, i guess no one told you.incidentally, not having tried it for yourself, you don't actually know yet if the fix works and already you're recommending it to someone else. wouldn't it be wise/kind to actually try it before you pass along the advice to others? |

It takes no time to change drivers for someone who has too much time on their hands. I already said i am too busy to get around to it, im trying to get as much work done as possible using my laptop before i travel tomorrow. I know changing drivers will fix it, i just cannot shut down the laptop right now because of my work(I have unfinished, unsaved documents going on in my laptop so i cant shut it down just to swap drivers. My work is a higher priority) that is why im only playing a bit on my desk pc as i get some work done also. Idk whats your problem with laptops, but in MY opinion they are great for mobility, just perfect for someone who wants to game a little bit while traveling. Sure their power is not like a desktop pc and they are expensive, but thats a price im willing to pay to be able to game while im away. I bought this laptop about 3 years ago i believe, it was 2 grand and it was the most powerful at the time, ofcourse as time passed by it isnt anymore .But i never bought it to be a main gaming pc, thats why i have desktop pc's. People like you can tell me how ****ty laptops are but that is your opinion, and i think different. Laptops serve me well for my work and travels.
