FIFA Manager 09 and i7 Patch for Steam

Hello everyone,
I bought FIFA Manager 09 a while ago via Steam. Once I want to start a new game (after the selection screens for your club etc, while loading the start data).

I googled a little bit and it looks like I need the i7 Patch. After I downloaded this Patch I cannot start the game via Steam anymore, because it is looking for a CD (it brings the error message "Wrong disc inside...".

Is it possible to install the i7 Patch via Steam?

Any ideas?
