The Aperture Science Innovators?

Well...in one of the new screenshots released yesterday I saw this...

http://media.pcgamer.com/files/2011/...nshots-071.jpg

Any opinions on this?

Im not sure there's much of a discussion to be had about this. It's a sign advertising the company. Something that any company would do at what i'm assuming is a main entrance to the facility.

But would they use another logo and name than the ones they use on just about every product they make?

That sign is a bit odd if you think about it. Aperture didn't get into research and the like until after 1975 (1979 acording to the notes). Before that is was "Mostly Shower Curtains". So why is there a test facility from the 1960's if not older? sm

Every company will have a logo update at some point. Aperture Science is no exception. They probably just updated it one day to the current, sleek look of todays version. I'm guessing the area Chell is, is a disused section of the facitlity. Or maybe it's the Borealis... Probably a stupid thought, but you never know.

(Possible spoiler)

Most probably the "other" abandoned place Chell finds herself in. You know, the one the mentioned in the Gamespot hands-on preview.

They said that was a warehouse with corrugated iron walls. This looks nothing like a warehouse, and the walls don't look like iron.

Looks like a warehouse/factory to me, according to the metal supports on the top. Maybe it's just the name of their R&D department or something?

That room gives me a feeling of deja vu.

Like when I was younger I have been in a place similar.

It has alot of ambiance. It is a room that I can sense it has a smell, musty with a hint of rust. Never really had sense of a smell in a videogame. Pretty awesome!

They are just simple projected textures that have been in source for quite a while.
