Text Unreadable

The game runs pretty fast. But... there's a weird issue with the text:

I really wanna try this game, but I was wondering if there was something I can do to fix this. I'm sure you can play without text, but what fun is that?

Edit: Oh, specs, whoops.

ATI 4250, Catalyst 11.2, other .Net programs run fine, XP SP3

That text size seems fine, it looks more like it could be a resolution issue. Have you tried different ones?

This happens fullscreen, windowed, checking keep aspect ratio, etc. I played with the settings a lot and it's all the same.
