How about a more flamer like flamer ? :p

Well i did think about changing the flamer to behave more like a real flamer.
Shooting gravity affected burning napalm which sticks on the ground for a certain time just like the fire mines the officers have.
well this would make the flamer more powerfull of course since you can enflame a whole corridor to block incomming swarms but you may can not rush that good anymore since you set all the dirty buring napalm around in which you and your teammates just run into and enflame youself/them.
also increasing the ammount the primary attack uses to decrease flamer spamm and keep low secondary ammo usage to maintain its teamrole as fire extinguisher or reduce the reload packs to 1 or 2 instead of 5? we got now
and also may let the napal split into multiple cluster to spread the napalm on impact like a waterbomb splashes onm impact.
also decrease the accuracy ?

well i love the flamer as he is now, but i would love to see a different version and this sounds like a great version to me (well its already in my mind so it must sound great to myself xD)

what do youse think ?

this should be implementable serverside only without breaking compability.

Edit:
watch this and now imagine sticky napalm everywhere where the flamer hit solid ground, no more flamepuffs through multiple aliens since the napalm splashes on impact ... well i would love that version :-D

If your post had coherent grammar I might agree. It could be interesting as a new weapon, not a replacement for the existing flamer. However, I think that the local game files would need to change for that, meaning it couldn't be done server side.

Actually it can, but everybody needs to have identical local files. The game only looks for discrepancies from the host, but if everybody is on the same page then it will work.

If it'd be as strong as fire mines, it'd be wayyy over powered.
