Ok so I previously haven't had any issues with BFBC2. I was using an ATI radeon 4870 and recently upgraded to an Nvidia 580 GTX. When I first ran the game, I didn't notice anything but I only played it for a couple of minutes just to see frame rates. Today I purchased the Vietnam expansion, and I'm not sure if that is related to the issue, but now I have VERY noticeable graphical problems and this is the only game that has them.
Screenshots: http://i1126.photobucket.com/albums/...0-09-24-18.jpg http://i1126.photobucket.com/albums/...0-09-30-55.jpg specs: i7 930 stock speeds 6gb corsair ram nvidia 580 stock speeds What I've tried: using driver sweeper reinstalling latest nvidia drivers set all graphical settings to low modified the settings.ini to disable bloom After those changes, the issue got somewhat better, but now the screen will turn white or black after 1-2min or seemingly walking a certain distance, then the game process has to be killed. Very disappointing as this did not exist what so ever on my ATI card

You might want to install an older version of nvidia driver software

I would suggest uninstalling your drivers and running driver sweeper. Make sure you remove all traces of old drivers, ATI and Nvidia. Then reinstall the latest nvidia drivers for your card.

I presume you verified the cache for bfbc2 in case a file was corrupted.
Otherwise you have the best idea which is to try out older drivers |

Sucks that both nvidia and ati have such spotty drivers >_<
I'm sure you're enjoying that frame boost, the 4870 was my last card too, it lasted nearly as long as the 9700pro |

i got a gtx480 and no glitches, see what other 580 users are saying, if not it could be heat.
[edit] i see you got it fixed, my bad. good to hear, and i'm running 260.99 drivers still because they run NFS Hot Pursuit the best. Last edited by x3cPeasant: 03-05-2011 at 07:33 AM. |

sad pandas, the artifacts are back
![]() Temp fix seems to be SHUTTING DOWN the computer for a bit then booting up. You can definitely expect the artifacts to be back in a few days. I read checked out the Nvidia forums, I'm not the only one which is a relief.... I suppose. Also temps are about 32c idle and ~54c under load. Lots of air cooling in my case
