kelly bailey no longer at valve?

I realize that not all valve employees are on this page but I'm pretty sure Kelly Bailey, composer of the Half-Life soundtrack was there until just recently. Anybody heard of him? Imagine what his departure would mean for a future Half-Life ...

I admit, his absence from the list is a little disconcerting.

I really don't like the sound of this.

I can't imagine Half-Life without Bailey.

I've e-mailed Gabe about this. Let's hope he answers soon.

I asked a Valve Employee in Steam:

Quote:
1:58 PM - Flamov: http://www.valvesoftware.com/company/people.html
1:58 PM - Flamov: Is it me or is Kelly Bailey now gone from this page?
1:59 PM - Flamov:
1:59 PM - mike: He left a while ago
Sorry folks.

...

But... why? Was he fired? Did he quit? Why did it happen? Who'll be composing the music for Episode 3? Is this why there's hardly any news on it? So many questions left unanswered!

Damn

Well, the new guy, whoever he is, is doing a terrific job with Portal 2. But I still listen to "The Suit Song" aka "The Path to Borealis" aka "Triage at Dawn" on a near daily basis

This is sad...

The fact that he left doesn't mean that he didn't record for the next Half-Life though.

Just like that, no press release, announcement, nothing. When Kim Swift left it was posted on many sites and Kelly Bailey, who's been with Valve since Half-Life, gets nothing? And it happened awhile ago?

Kind a disrespectful to the fanbase, wouldn't you say? Did they think we wouldn't care?

Who's his successor btw?
