Adding Funds to Wallet from PayPal Balance and not PayPal credit card

Hey guys,

I've got around 13 BRL (Brazilian Reais) in my PayPal balanace, wich converts to $7,83 USD.

Stil, whenever i try to add funds to my Steam Wallet it withdraws from my Paypal attached credit card instead of taking it from the balance first.

Does anyone know why does it do that?

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps you need to do some configuration in Paypal first. Or maybe you tried to add more than you have in the balance and since it finds the funds to be insuffiucient it will automatically extract the full amount from the CC. Did you try to add only $5?

Yeap. I did try to add only 5 bucks.

And i've searched quite a lot and didn't find a way to convert BRL to USD anywhere.

Yeah, well, the google results must change from each google configuration or due to location where the search was sent, 'cause i don't see a thing regarding paypal convertion on the first pages.

I'm not interested on the taxes and rate of convertion. I just want paypal to charge the steam purchase from its balance and not from my credit card. Otherwise, that balance would be pretty much useless.

I still need some help.

I guess the layout is different in every country, but the 'manage currency' option might be it. Did you try it?

Answer :
You can convert some or all of your PayPal balance from one currency to another currency.

We’re introducing a new and improved Profile to some customers. Until all customers are using the new Profile, there are 2 sets of instructions on how to do this. Please follow the instructions that match what you see on the site.

Here’s how to convert your PayPal balance to a different currency:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click Profile at the top of the page.
3. Click Currency Balances under the Financial Information column.
4. Enter the amount you want to convert under the Currency Exchange column.
5. Choose the new currency.
6. Click Calculate to preview the conversion.
7. Click Review Exchange to see the conversion details.
8. Click Exchange Currency to confirm the transfer.

Note: Currency conversions are not available for PayPal accounts in Argentina, Brazil, and Malaysia.
So i guess i'm stuck with that money that i can't use for . Hooray.
