Finished in under an hour

Warning to potential buyers, i just bought the game and finished it and steam says i played for 58 minutes, this was on normal difficulty.

So it is very short but you can unlock mods, pictures and videos by completing the game on the 3 difficulty level.

Anyway the graphics were nice for a 10$ but the gameplay wasn't all that great, btw i played with my wireless 360 controller (without aim assist) for those interested.
Aliens just keep on popping up till you killed enough and then you can move on to the next checkpoint, kinda like Cod.
There's only 3 kind of enemies to shoot but you'll mostly only see 1 of the type.

anyway i'd say its not worth 10$, might be better to wait for a deal on this one.

Its more like cod but with aliens that just stay there in front of you or moving from left to right waiting for your almost silent assault rifle with no recoil to kill them

Btw there is only 3 weapons, assault rifle, sniper rifle and rocket launcher and there is also grenades available.

The hand model makes me think Counter Strike, and the other pics seem vaguely source-ish to me. Anything to that, or am I just seeing things?

Definitely not Source. Probably Saber's in-house engine, perhaps an evolution of the one used for TimeShift.

Its just short. And no where near as much stuff as the posted link. (I love that large monster, that is the kind of stuff I like in a game.) The aliens all remind of Jack in the Nightmare Before Christmas.

No. its not a Timeshift engine. At least I do not think so unless the mods unlock some back and forth so-mo motion.

Think of a shooting gallery and that is what you have.

I really think it is. Or rather, the latest version of it. Saber Interactive always uses their in-house engine, Saber3D, for all of their games. I cannot imagine why they would license something else new, for this cheap little game.

Just because this game doesn't have slow-mo, doesn't mean it isn't using the same engine. Batman: Arkham Asylum isn't an FPS, but it's on the same engine as Unreal Tournament III. Different things can be done, in the same engine. Were you being sarcastic with that comment, and I just missed it?

There's a difference between developers and publishers.

In this case, the developers are Saber Interactive, while the publishers are Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.

When I saw it in the Steam's News feed, I thought it was going to be awesome.. until I saw the price. Which made me realized there had to be a catch.. and it seems like I was right.

For $10, I'd rather get Magicka and support developers that are trying.

$10 an hr is still lower than minimum wage where I live so it seems to be worth the money if you look at it like that.
