How Do You Turn Off Steam Guard?

Tick disable it.

Were your turning Steam Guard off temporarily or do you not plan to use it in general?

I plan to not used it. I did not see the option to turn it off. How do you turn it off?

Steam > Settings > Manage Steam Guard Account Security > Disable Steam Guard.

I'm curious though, why would you want to disable it?

I have no idea that I actually turned Steam Guard on. No one asked me if I wanted it. Now I have a computer that I can't use because of this steam guard crap. I appreciate you trying to protect my account but come on, I should be asked first before you shove it down my throat.

I'm glad I found this... now I can access my games again!

I wish Steam would stop changing things. Every time they do, I end up wrestling with their tech support instead of playing the games I paid for.

Im extremely irritated that they started enabling this on people's accounts without asking them. I did NOT want Steam guard and it was enabled on me anyway without ever asking me.

Ugh, steam guard is just plain annoying. Thanks for letting us know how to turn it off.

No doubt. It wasn't advertised as default or mandatory. A minor frustration, but i hope they change it in the future.

Valve wanted it that way.

You can turn it off.

Why you would want to make your valuable account *LESS* secure is anyone's guess though...
