Your fears
Everyone had a childhood fear. Something they were absolutely terrified of. What was yours?
I was (and still am) terribly afraid of wasps/hornets/etc. I ♥♥♥♥ing hate them. Last edited by Achillies: 03-17-2011 at 09:41 PM. |

I watched some TV show when I was little, around 6 or 7. It was about some kids playing in a closet and then one disappeared. There was a pile of clothes in the closet and the kid wasn't anywhere. For a few years afterward I was paranoid about sticking my hand into my own closet. One day I wanted to disappear and hopped in. Nothing happened.

I hate bees and heights.
Heights as in roller coasters and bridges. |

I was scared of noises at night if I could not work out what they were.

Quicksand!!!
I don't really know why, perhaps because of some of those old Tarzan movies, but I had a major fear of quicksand. Luckily I never really had to worry about falling into some, but I still had bad dreams about it. |

Seeing bluz's name in red.
![]() On a more serious note. It would have to be tests. It's the only thing in the world that kinda scares me.

The only fears I can think of are walking on a beach and one of those shell things springing up and cutting my foot--recently had a nightmare involving just that!
My long time fear is deep water, though I swim in deep water all the time... just waiting for some ♥♥♥♥ed up squid or something to pull me down and make me die a horrible death... |

Being on ladders, jet airplanes, ships and islands.
It's not the heights that bother me about the ladder and airplane. I just have this fear that the ladder is going to collapse. My fear of jets is that if something goes wrong, you're screwed. Prop airplanes aren't pressurized so you can parachute out. I hate the water, so the idea of being on a ship or island in the middle of an ocean doesn't sound like a vacation at all. Especially if it's a small island. The island would have to be so big that if disaster struck the city I was in, I could travel thousands of miles away without hitting a sea-shore, like Australia. Australia is my idea of an island! However, I could function on a ladder, in a 747, on a cruise ship or in Hawaii. I just would be very cautious and uptight. |
