Question Game Crashes: Post You NWN2 client issues here.

My issue is very, very irritating and it's not even mine.

I gifted this incredible game to my girlfriend through STEAM because I know she'd love it given here pen-and-paper roots. Well she gets it, downloads it, installs it - I host a game - she joins:

about 1 minute into making her very first character, her computer screen goes black, the system locks up, and the sounds buzzes loudly and annoyingly and the whole thing requires a hard reboot because no key presses were having any effect.

The same thing happens to her when she tries to play the copy of Dragon Age 2 that I bought her. However, the same system runs AION and VINDICTUS perfectly smooth on impressive settings!

Now am I hopelessly doomed to keep wasting money on games that she should be able to play but for some freak reason can't? I doubt STEAM will refund my purchase. Is there a solution to this problem? Is anyone experiencing the same thing???

Have you updated to the latest video and sound card drivers for your hardware?

Sounds like a system issue (GPU overheating possibly).

tda-danny is right; we need your system specs to advise you.
