Can't login, Steam Guard causing it?

I'm trying to login to my Steam account on a different computer.

I enter my correct username/password, the login box vanishes and I expect Steam to open. But it doesn't. Instead, the login box pops back up. And not a single message telling me what happened or why.

No emails went to my email address.

Any ideas?

Delete Steam.dll and clientregistry.blob from this location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
Then restart Steam. Check again.

Go to the other computer, login to your account and disable Steam Guard (under settings). I had an issue with one of my accounts where Steam would not send the confirmation to the email address, though I get confirmations for every other dialog box in Steam almost immediately.

Seems there is a problem some people are having with the new Steam Guard. Fortunately I was able to login to my locked out account from another computer in the house and I was able to disabled Steam Guard. Personally I'd like to have that feature on, but I hate to risk getting locked out of my account. With no live support available to quickly resolve problems like this, it's just not worth the risk.
