How to change currency?
I can`t buy anything, this error appears
Your purchase could not be completed because it looks like the currency of funds in your Steam Wallet does not match the currency of this purchase. Is there any way to change currency of my account from dollars to euros? I living in France |

You can only pay with the currency of the country that you are in.
How come your steam wallet is in Dollars when you live in France? It should be Euros. I used to live in ireland, and topped up my steam wallet as well. I have about 8 Euro left. Now I moved to Canada and I can't use my Steam wallet anymore, it tells me the same thing "Your purchase could not be completed because it looks like the currency of funds in your Steam Wallet does not match the currency of this purchase." Also the ?c=ie doesn't work for me. But since Im heading to Ireland for a few weeks I don't mind. You probably need to contact steam support. |

i m already contacted them,
Our records indicate that your purchase was declined due to your current IP address differing from your registered billing information. To complete any item purchases while traveling, you will need to add funds to your Steam Wallet through an internet browser first. You will need to use the following link through either Internet Explorer or Firefox to add funds to your Wallet. http://store.steampowered.com/steama...addfunds?cc=fr But, what the hell? Can`t they just change it? It dosnt working at all! |

Lol haha. Another support fail! I get that message every time I contact them about my credit card.
It's their standard answer to anything! What country were you in when you topped up your account? It couldnt have been France because then your currency would be in Euro. If you were in the US, then try this link: http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=us All the items should be in US dollars, and then you should be able to purchase it. |

I know this is old, but I got to this post several times trying to buy the Interactive Compendium in Dota 2.
THe fact is my currency is in BRL and I'm the US right now. What I did after a few days trying is accessing via browser the steam brazilian store: http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=br (you might change the final BR to the one matching your country) and logging in. After that I added the compendium to my card and proceeded to add funds. It worked just fine. It's a weird work around, but I hope it help other people out there. |
