GTA 4 saved game lost! help!

before i upgraded from XP to 7, I was at least half way through GTA IV. when I played gta for the first time on 7, my saved game was gone. I tried going to C:/Users/(me)/AppData/Local and moving the Rockstar Games folder to Roaming but still nothing. I tried re-installing, it was still gone. how do i get my save back? does windows 7 have a different place that saves those files?

you save data is saved in the games for windows live in appdata if i remember right.

if you don't care about GFWL features like achievements and multiplayer then you can use something called Xliveless
it will let you use any savegame (or should)
