Can I get VAC banned for hosting 10th prestige/Modded lobbies?

I was wondering, cause I don't dare to host any sort of modded lobbies without knowing if I can get banned.

COD Mw2 and blackops do not allow mods and will trigger a vac ban.

Every kind of modification in Call of Duty games can and probably will trigger VAC.

I know modied lobbies was a problem b4 blackops rolled out and im not sure if the hosts got banned and they increased the amount of points they get per kill

I don't have and COD on steam but do you have to use VAC on the servers? In CS:S you don't have to use VAC on your server. In COD MW1 they allow custom servers but because they got stupid they don't let you host your own server so I'm assuming that you have to use VAC. If you have to use VAC you could get banned I assume. If not, just don't use VAC. Granted VAC ain't that good either.

vac isnt used in mw1 it uses punkbuster. in mw2 there are no servers its more like what consoles use and you cant without getting banned turn it off

I believe the tools you need in order to do it will actually earn you a system wide vac ban (if you are talking about MW2 that is).

heya guys,i want to ask what this mean: (servename here) Steam cracked
on cracked in dont mean on map name,server was running hanoi map when i spotted it..didnt joined..also i have seen many servers like that in tf2..

That's fine. Counter-Strike: Source mods are fine. There are tons of Gun game, sniper only servers.
