So 2 Questions:
1- Compatibility with Windows 7 64bits?
2- At the moment you preorder the games appear on Steam (DS 1-2)?

Thanks in advance.

Can't get DS1 to run on Win7 64bit. I'll try my disc version tomorrow to see if that's only a problem with the Steam version. Downloading DS2 as we speak, so I can't answer that yet. My disc version ran fine, though.

You can download and play them right now if you purchase DS3.

Thanks I will be waiting for your comment about DS1 on W7 64bit.

Yes, I know for a fact the disc version runs on Win7 x64.

Well, DS2 runs fine on Win7 64bit. So hooray for that! But alas, the expansion isn't included.

So in conclusion, DS1 doesn't run on Win7 64bit, and neither expansions are included. That's quite a bummer.

And there is no multiplayer, meaning they also removed LAN and direct IP functionality?

Well that tipped this from "Pre-order this second!" to "Wait for reviews and possibly the first sale"

All multiplayer features have been removed sadly.

Same here, not pre-ordering a game, just to get degraded versions of the previous games. I'll stick to my disc copies.

Hopefully one day GOG releases both of them with their expansions and full compatibility with Windows 7.

I was planning of going for this but they are giving us a gutted version of the games?

Why did they remove the LAN option, that makes absolutely no sense at all, if it still was in the game you could most likely play online using hamachi or something of the sorts since the online service it used it now dead.

What the fudge Square-Enix?!

Whats really odd, is one would think the developer put that option (LAN and direct IP) in the game on purpose. Figuring if MS Gaming Zone ever went away, players would retain the option to play online. But this maneuver seems deliberate, and not for any technical reason.

I can almost say with certainty multiplayer works with the disc versions, using LAN or direct IP. I remember trying this sometime ago, when MS gaming zone was shutdown.

Does anyone know how to get DS2 to run in a high res mode? I know it was possible previously, but I can't seem to get it to work beyond 1280x1024 now
