Beta carry-over into release?

Like almost every other beta, ever, I presume that nothing will carry over into release? Everything I've read so far confirms this, though an official confirmation would be nice.

That's right, we've officially confirmed it on the Maxis board. Everyone will start fresh.

Good, it's the only fair way to do it so nobody has a headstart over anyone else

I hope they will implement a "Restart" button in the release... I would like to start it all again from lvl 1 once that's for sure..

They've already said all beta accounts will be reset at release. Everyone starts back at lvl 1 when the game releases on the 26th.

He's asking for a restart button within the release version. So you can reset the progress you made after release.

Edit: At least that's the only thing that would make sense to ask for, considering it was already mentioned before his post that there'll be a reset for release.

Aaah gotcha. Well, I'm not sure if they even put much thought into this since most people probably wouldn't want to reset all the progress they've already made being that at level 100 you'll have all the heroes unlocked anyways.

That's just my thoughts on it tho, I guess it would be nice for those who might want it.

I could understand a reset feature once the game has been out for a while... After being level 100 and having it all gets boring. I wouldn't reset half way through though.

you have no idea how much help you will be getting because you are a woman, a friend of mine was playing other games and was getting ingame gifts, just for being a woman, i mean thats just silly, but it happens.

I just want a feature to skip the stinking tutorial and newbie levels, I've done them twice now in Beta. A 3rd more time and I'll pull my hair out.

Yeah, it would be cool if you could. At least you don't have to play them every again once you beat them in a normal game. Thanks a lot for helping us out for the Beta, even when it meant you were playing levels you didn't enjoy.

Did it thrice, I win! (but at least I found out you can skip the intro with ctrl+x)
