.net entry point not found

Hi,
I just got the potato sack, and ive been trying to play beat but the first time i start the game it gives me this error:

dotNetinstallerWrapper.exe - entry point not found

the procedure entry point
??1critical_section@Concurrency@@QAE@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCR100.dll

Anyone who can offer a fix please respond!
This is the first time ever launching the game and it is step 1 of 4.
This is 7 x64 btw
The weird thing is, it works on my 7 X64 laptop

ran into this same problem after putting that dll onto my computer manually (at first it was just completely missing on my system). It seems to be caused by using the x86 (or 32 bit) version of the visual c++ libraries on a 64 bit system. probably some other program you installed put the wrong version of visual c++ on your system. What I ended up doing was going onto the microsoft website, finding the executable files for the 2005, 2008, and 2010 visual c++ libraries in their x64 flavors and installing them in order from oldest to newest. It's very possible that the 2010 executable contains everything you need, but I honestly wasn't sure if it would, so I basically went with a brute force method. Either way, after installing those 3 visual c++ libraries I had no problems with the game.

try copying the afor mentioned dll file from C:\Windows\System32 to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\bit.trip beat\dep\ (assuming you're using the default steam installation directory)
