Actually people need to know this.

You should make a thread about this.

I don't know.

Perhaps go and grab the TWEOTW potatoes, and quickly swap back to idling.

That's already earlier than the original release time, which was at 10:00 AM GMT-5. The people looking at the source code aren't realizing that the constant release time they're finding is calculated on the server side, and inserted into the html when someone requests the page. This way we have no way of seeing what formulas are used to calculate the release time.

OK makes sense. At first I thought how fast the bar moves is determined by the potatoes already found in this game. But if it's the total player count it's actually much harder.

by looks this is as much as a puzzle as the rest of the arg.

we need to consider the time it takes to fill these bars VS. The REMAINING some games may not be worth working on untill later.

Look back in this thread someone had a link.

Its to do with the overall popularity of the game from it being released.

The only other one is on the ARG Wiki, which I think (as of yesterday, at least) has gone down.

I don't remember where the evidence is, but it's known that the more people who own the game, the more time it takes to fill that game's bar. However, it may be that those numbers were frozen when this part of the ARG started, and that buying more now won't have any effect. It's also possible that the numbers weren't frozen, and that buying more will increase the total amount of playtime necessary. I don't know which way it is.

I'm of the opinion that the necessary CPU cycles were calculated at the start, thus people buying the games and not playing don't reduce the rate because that would be a move and contrary to valve's EVERYONE BUY THIS GAMES message.

common sense.

Compare KF progress with TWEOTW progress.

Which was faster to finish?
Which had more copies sold?

Exactly.
