GFWL again: Please download...
Hi.
I installed Bioshock 2. I run it and it said: Games For Windows- Live is not installed, our (really there's our) outdated. Please install the latest. I installed latest version 10 times and still same error. http://img852.imageshack.us/i/bioshock.png/ I also played GTA: EFLC online and it worked. Steam was good. Now its piece of .... . First place, Steam has nothing to do with MS. Second, yes, the GFWL provided by MS to Steam is crap. Uninstall GFWL completely then install the latest version directly from MS. This worked for me on Dirt 2.
If you have done all of this and it still doesn't work then contact support. |

OK I'm guessing you already verified you game cache. If not:
R-click on the game in your library then properties/local files/verify integrity of game cache. If Verify didn't work lets try this: Exit Steam. Find, then delete/rename the "ClientRegistry.blob" file. Restart Steam it will do a rebuild takes about a minute. Then sign in and try the game. |
