I was encountering the Visual C++ runtime error every time I tried to start Super Meat Boy, and to solve it all I had to do was add "-windowed" to the game's Launch Options here in Steam. You can then change the resolution from within the game's options menu and revert back to fullscreen.
Apparently the problem is that the first time you try to run the game, it sometimes sets itself at a resolution that won't work properly with your PC/monitor so you must first play it in windowed mode in order to correctly set the resolution in the in-game menu. I hope this helps! |
