GTA IV unable to contact key server error

Anybody getting this error recently. I just purchased the thing last night and have not been able to play at all. WTF will steam sell something without having the keys available. I should have gotten the damm thing through d2d. They have a 25% off anything this easter weekend.

Yep have seen a few people with this problem, you'll have to open a ticket. average wait time is 2-4 days.

They should at least have some sort of warning/notification for this.

In future go with the best option which you thought was D2D.

None of that helped. Tried it all already. I purchaed the game along with the addons for it for 39.99. The libercity deal did get a key fine without issue, but the base gta iv did not. So i cant play the base gta iv cause it cannot get a key

No doubt about it, From now on I do D2D. It is cheaper most of the time and I do not have to have a client running in the background and can play offline also.

I'm having the same problem, but I am on my father's computer so i'm a little scared to mess around with the firewall and things like that. I hope that they get the new keys really soon.

yes it is the fact that they have no keys left, however being that this situation is widespread, they might have ordered some more keys from the publisher and will most likely have them ready on monday

I have the same Problem and my Friend too.
I wrote the Steam Support Yesterday... Today I get an answer and they only post me this link: http://support.steampowered.com/kb_a...2204-OPGC-4862

I used the link yesterday too -.- and I wrote it that nothing worked... But they send me the link ....

Now the only thing how to get an key is waiting.
I hope I get an key ...
