Steamworks and TF2

Anyone else think that would be awesome?

Having an updated version of TF2 for PS3 that can play with PC players?

Snipers would dominate any console Player on pc even a bad one.

Imagine the worst PC player against the best console player, the console player would still lose.

Edit: inb4fixed, but yeah I know I meant PS3, Just got out of another forum mentioning the 360 is why I said that, but typically my point stands.

Uhh. Steamworks isn't on Xbox360. It's for PS3.

And I also don't believe that. And there's little evidence to prove it.

I get your point (mouse + keyboard > controller), but the xBox isn't even applicable here.

Steamworks is only on the PS3. But other than that I would pretty much say the same thing.

Even if that is true PS3 TF2 needs to be updated. And at the least playing with PC players should be an option.

The ps triple allows kb/m support but only unreal tournament 3 took advantage of this apparently :(

I disagree with the statement about keyboard and mouse always dominating control pad users in some cases yes, in other cases controller do rather well. Also the reason for not wanting a new PS3 version to come out (the one that's out couldn't be updated, just as well releasing a new one) is the control pad is a very dumb argument considering you can use Keyboard and Mouse on the PS3 if the game allows for it.

There goes your argument for that. It would be great if this happened, I'd love to be able to play TF2 on my HDTV at full resolution and not be stuck without updates - would be a nice break from sitting at my laptop for gaming.

That's not true. I plugged in my PS3 controller and set it up for TF2. I got fifth best in a 24 slot server. Not great, but not bad.

Of course, I was a Demo Knight, due to the fact that turning left and right while charging doesn't slow you down like it does with a mouse. INSTANT TURN CORNERS, WHERE'S YOUR HEAD NOW?

I'll take any opportunity I can get to dominate people who require "aim-assist" to hit things.

Valve can make a new version.

And I believe orange box got patched once by Valve.

Seriously, I swear I read "Railworks and TF2", and was already thinking of BUY ALL RAILWORKS DLC'S (Over 9000 and going up, over $1000) TO GET A EXCLUSIVE TRAIN HAT FOR TF2!
