Portal system "requirements"
Has anybody experimented to see how "hard" the Portal system requirements are? For example, I have a 2.25 GHz processor, where the system requirements are 3. Likewise my graphics card is a GeForce 130M which I'm not sure where it stacks up in the requirements category. Does it have reduced resolution modes for lower specs, etc? I'd like to get the game, but I sure don't want to spend $50 if my system can't run it.
P.S. Valve: This is where a demo version would probably be helpful. |

You should be fine, I have a friend who can run it on 2.24 GHz Core 2 Duo with Intel integrated graphics. I myself run it on a single core AMD TF-36 2.00GHz with an integrated Radeon HD 3200.

Thanks for letting me know. I guess I can take the plunge and if it turns out to be unusable, pray to Valve to take pity upon me...

Use Alien Swarm as a benchmark (it's free). If you can run it, you can run Portal 2.
