Battlefield: BC2 - Auto Login Issue

I have this weird problem, i can log in manually but when i either choose "Auto Login" and/or "Remember Password" it cant log me in,

I just get "Unable to log in, please try again"

I tried to unmark both check fields, log in. then quit the game and try to start it up and make it remember again, but is wont remember me it seems.

Does anyone know a fix for this plz?

happens to me too but it's minor compared to other major bugs this game has.

Try this, it worked for me:

Set steam and BFBC2 to have administrative rights:

Right click on steam icon
Click on Properties at bottom
Click on compatibility tab
At bottom checkmark "Run this program as an administrator"
Click Apply

Go to /steam/steamapps/common/battlefield bad company 2
Right click on BFBC2Game.exe
Click on Properties at bottom
Click on compatibility tab
At bottom checkmark "Run this program as an administrator"
Click Apply

The next time you run steam a box will come up saying something about it running in compatibility mode. Click cancel and it won't come up again.

(What I think is happening is because it's not set to have administrative rights it's not able to save the password).

I also turned off the steam in-game overlay too but I'm pretty sure it was the above that did it (I also rebooted too but I don't think you have to).

**NOTE: This worked and I just tried again, now it's not. Hmmm....so let me know if it works for you.**

I got this issue too, I reinstalled BC2 last month, it didn't use to do that before.
