Will custom chambers be available for PS3 users?

Most likely as a pick of the crop type dealie of the best user made content and officially release them in a pack.

In the same sense that PC can casually download them, terribly unlikely

Dang, I guess we can all wish for PC Download! Cuz theres some awesome Portal mods but Valves picks are better than nothing

Why must I have the Xbox 360 edition and not the PS3 edition?

You knew (or should have) that the Xbox version wouldn't support Steamplay. You have nobody to blame but yourself.
