Tech help - can I run it?

Hey guys. I really want to play this game, but I've been burned with my rig a few times lately, with Magicka and Capsized, where I THOUGHT I could run them, but then it turned out I could not.

Here's my specs, can I run Terraria?

Video: NVIDIA GeForce G100 (http://www.nvidia.com/object/product..._g_100_us.html)
Processor: Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2220@ 2.4 GHz
OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Thanks!

I was in the exact same boat regarding magicka and capsized (both unplayable), took a chance with this game and it runs perfectly. Can wait for someone who knows specs and everything to tell you as I don't really know anything but it should run with ease.

I dunno much about your graphics card, but Terraria seems to require very little from your computer.
I am almost certain that it will run smoothly on yours as well.

Thank goodness Steam keeps our games, so when we finally upgrade we'll have access to those currently-unplayable games. Gives us something to look forward to.

It runs perfectly on my 2.4 ghz dual core AMD, 8200m integrated graphics, Vista 32 bit, laptop. Not sure how that compares to your graphics, but mine is very weak.

Your cpu is fine for running this but the big issue is you have to make sure your GPU supports shader model 1.1 if it doesnt the game wont work properly, i had issues with my laptop like that where my gpu would have enough physical memroy but it lacked the correct version of pixel shader and such, just google your gpu and see what shader version it has

My 5-year-old laptop seems to run Terraria without problem. I don't think it's too demanding in terms of hardware.

As i said hardware is fine but that GPU is a shared one so you just have to make sure you have pixel shader 1.1 on it

Like everyone else is saying...

I have a mid-range gaming rig, myself, but I think Terraria is pretty easy to run on most computers. Judging by your dual core, I would think you'd be fine. The only thing I can think of that might take a while would be map generation, but since Terraria generates the whole map ahead of time (as opposed to the 'endless' procedural generation method of a game like Minecraft) this will just do this when you first start playing.
