Anti-COD feelings.

i just dont like the current cod games; thats my honest opinion.

i loved almost every cod game up until cod5 but then their sudden change of direction from, "moderately tactical shooter" to "all out twitch fest" lost me.

i keep trying to enjoy them, but i cant get into it for whatever reason.

oh well at least i tried; no more cod for me...

Not that I'm a fan of Treyarch, but Activision as a publisher doesn't help them either forcing the game to be officially released in, essentially, a beta stage; when there's obvious work that still has to go on.

Because at this point they're just insulting our intelligence, churning out the same game every year, for 60 dollars, and then charging ridiculous amounts of money for DLC.

It just makes things even worse that so many people gobble it right up.

People hating your game wont stop the 20k+ from playing it and the 10 million buying.

That said, CoD has become a bit of a running joke. $15 map packs, $60 games churned out year after year and all them being essentially the same game not to mention what it's popularity has done to the industry, with everyone and their mums rushing to cash yet another regenerating health, cover based FPS based on modern millitary hardware. And some of us old timers thought that the 5 years of "shooter with *insert gimmick here*" were bad.

The worst part? We have already glimpsed the future of the franchise. A cold and lonely death. The grey, withered husk of 3 developers tossed to the wind having outlived their usefulness. The tragic sputter of their last game as it's tounge reaches out for last morsal of map packs.

Precisely what I think too. I just wonder if they will manage to "milk" the series too much. I guess they did that with Guitar Hero-hence it got cancelled?

Usually when a new shooter game comes out the developers of that game and their friends come in the Black Ops forum and try to divert some people from Black Ops to their game.

I just checked the Brink forum. Looks like the game has tons of issues and complaints over there.

The ONLY point I've made in this thread is that I have no patience for boorish behavior. I even went so far as to ask for civility in the OP. Frankly, more and more I'm thinking that respect for others requires the possibility of direct repercussions. So, lacking the myriad possibilities that face-to-face interactions entail, people like you act-out in arrogant, self-indulgent and utterly useless ways.
