ADD PORTAL 2 to Steam

PSN is making me change my PSN password, but their site has been down for this. I cannot link my PSN account with Steam as a result. I want my Mac version of Portal 2 via Steam, which is what I was promised. Has Steam created a work-around for this? Cannot find anything on site. Thanks.

Its not valves fault, you're not entitled to a fix from valve, take it up with sony.

So, Sony forced the PC/Mac version on Valve? Held a gun to their head?

I would think a business might see it otherwise.

It's sony's issue, why would Valve need to correct it?

Yes, that is certainly how one can view it. However, proactive companies do not subscribe to such. They are customer oriented, especially if they have entered into a relationship with another company.

From what replies there have been, it's evident Valve has not offered a work-around for those who purchased the PS3 Portal 2 version. [vent]I doubt Valve got a cut of that sale anyway, right.[/vent] That's fine.

Because it requires a PSN sync with Steam. Valve is providing the desktop copy, by contract. It takes two to tango.

Its a problem on Sony's end. You have to link PSN account with your steam account. PSN is down, therefor you cant link your PSN to Steam. You need both systems up for it to work. Its not valves fault, stop acting like it is.

I don't believe I've insinuated it was Valve's fault. I believe that is a result of human nature, folks putting their personality into the written word.

I have insinuated that Valve is to an extent "on the table" for a desktop Portal 2 version. I queried whether they have provided a work-around is all?

Or is PSN still down in your region? (I don't know which regions are up and which aren't)

It is. I tried. I requested a new password, but the new password link notification they sent took me to their site with a "site down for maintenance" page. Just stuck right now is all.

Honestly, I didn't come here to complain. Just to see if Valve was offering a way to get the desktop version.
