For Vista and Windows 7 Users

If you have trouble to run Still Life on Windows Vista or Windows 7, try the compatibility mode for Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 5). Then the game should start normally.

Does Still Life 1 work in Wide Screen resolutions such as 1680x1050?

It runs on widescreen monitors, but you will have black pillars on both sides.

Not if you set the your monitor's aspect ratio to take up the entire screen through your video cards' settings menu.

my monitor comes up with little window sayng "NO OPTIMUM MODE. OPTIMUM MODE 1920x1080", and after 30 sec the screen goes black and this little monitor win just moves slowly around. and i thought this has bin fixed in this version. not like with the hard copy i have.

but it works fine for me with win 7.

Yes, but that's no real widescreen support, it's only stretching the graphics.

i wrote to support about the widescreen problem. at least my problem that my monitor goes black because of this resolution mode.
i asked if they can make a patch. otherwise i cant play this game at all when my screen keeps coming up with this warning and after 30 sec the screen goes black.
