Why No Classic Duke?

Hello Steam,

I'm just here wondering, since I pre-ordered Duke Nukem Forever, why isn't the classic Duke Nukem available? I know that the new Duke Nukem is made by a different company, but I'd love to go back to that classic game and play.

Obviously because the creators/publishers of duke3d are gone and can't publish it on steam? ;>

You can buy Duke Nukem 3D on GOG.com. They got the rights to sell the game on there, and for whatever reason Steam never did and/or never put it up for sale.

Duke3D is now open source, they have some great remixes online (HD textures or the game on a completely different engine), use google.

Duke Nukem 3D is purchasable on GoG for a very, very affordable price! Give it a shot!

I suggest to play 3D remake of the Duke Nukem 3D.

There is also 3D remake of the some Doom games.

The engine (Build) is open source and not the rest of the game (maps, textures etc..).

There are no other engines for Duke3D other then the Build engine.
eDuke32 is an updated Build engine with "Polymost" renderer made by the original engine developer Ken Silverman and the new "Polymer" renderer by Plagman.

It's also on Xbox, although I believe it costs more than it does on GOG. Still, would be nice to have it on steam...

I would love to buy DN3D on Steam. No interest in the GOG-version. They can suck my blank metal .
