TF2 NPC face player possible?

Using the TF2 hammer, is it possible to make an NPC face the player? And if so, is it server side or client side?

Which npc? An do you mean always face the player no matter where they're standing?

Yes. Thinking I could do it if I bound an obj_sentrygun inside the model, silenced it, made it invulnerable, made it fire on everyone, and make it do no damage/shoot no bullets. Though if there is a better way I'd like to know. That way seems a bit sloppy if the NPC is too busy rotating to face whoever is near it.

Be cool if I could make the NPC prefer to target the team with the least amount of players too.

I don't think you can do that with the sentry gun though. Maybe check if there's a generic monster entity or something like that in the .fgd which faces players.

Nope. Anyone have any other ideas? I don't see anything that would seem to do it from what I'm looking at.

Basically, parent the NPC to a function rotate and create trigger_multiples on both sides that cause the NPC to rotate in that direction. It may look kinda weird, so try using something to cover the bottom or something.

If there's a way to change its animation, set the triggers to change the animation so it aims that way.
