Did steam get hacked yesterday, im suspened now

When i tried to log in yesterday it said my account credentials had expired, Then when i logged in the steam store wouldnt work, my login name was at the top but said 0 friends. When it asked me to verify my account it said "To verify your humanity please re-enter your steam login" this was inside the steam browser tho? And suddenly today it says my account is suspended, Ive already fired out a support ticket on the issue so i guess i gotta play the waiting game now. Any one else have issues yesterday at all?

Nope, Steam wasn't hacked, but as long as you weren't using a hacked steam client, trying to register fake CD Keys, made a chargeback, accepted a fraudulent gift, were phishing, or otherwise violating the SSA, you should be fine... There is a chance that either your account in particular was hacked by someone, and that they did something that violated the SSA.

All working fine here.

Since you already submitted a ticket, just await their reply. No need to bump the ticket unless you have relevant info to add.
Average response time is 3-5 business days.

Sorry, you are suspended from going outside, please contact support.

On topic: Just contact support, it may have been done to protect you, not punish you.

people who say 3 to 5 days have it wrong.
the avarage support wait is 36 hours high priority cases are a lot faster.

it all depends what you are suspended for.

hijacked maybe , hacked no.

I think there can be a few other reasons like accepting a bad gift or other payment issues.
those can sometimes take a wile to kick in.

well its funny that you say it can take awhile becuase i just looked at my credit card statement and saw that STEAMPOWERED.COM LONDON GBR had put a small amount of money into my account, terrified i called my CC company and they said steam put the money in my account and that they did not reverse a transaction. I'm still worried about it and om going to be jarateed if there lying to me, since that would screw me out of a vary large game library

just wait what valve has to say.

banks often do not give good info on things like this , valve does not have the habit of chargebacks when they got there hands on your money.

I didnt think so but my credit card commpany is in for a storm if they ed this up, 38 games and half are multiplayer so i cant even play em offline. If this infact was the case is there any chance valve would restore my account if i explained to them what happened and payed them the money my CC stole?

They do that to verify the account is active, I'm surprised your CCC/bank didn't tell you this, nothing to worry about.
