game.exe has stopped working

Hi, I don't know if it is a steam related issue or not, but I simply can't get ibomber defense to work ! There is immediately a crash when I try to run it, with "game.exe has stopped working".

This never happens in any other games. I have an Asus g73h labtop which includes an ATI HD5870 card.

Sorry, I don't have any other information to give, has anyone else encountered such a problem ?

Oh well, I found a solution on my own. Turns out that the display drivers were outdated, but of course, Asus does NOT provide ANY updated drivers for their labtops (how nice of them, they don't seem to care). To make matters worse, official ATI mobility drivers simply don't work on asus labtops (how ridiculous...)

Solution:

I had to completely uninstall any trace of display drivers using "Driver sweep" while in safe mode, then I had to go in device manager and manually uninstall the video card.

Then I used a specific set of drivers: 11-3_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl , which you can find simply by googling.

Now everything seems to work ! I'm just surprised I didn't have issues in any other games...
