How is 10.6.8?

Has there been any improvement graphic wise?
I think I've heard before that there are some driver updates in there but I've been staying away just in case something doesn't go well.
Anyone had any problem or improvements?

P.S. I'm updating right now so I'll report back too if I see any noticeable change.

I've seen some articles that there has been driver updates for certain graphic cards.
I'm on a Mid-2009 MacBook Pro with Nvidia 9400M integrated graphics and I don't see any real difference in FPS in game (not a time-demo or any kind of scientific measurement, just what I can see from glancing at net_graph 3
It feels like I'm getting less stutters in firefights but again, not a scientific measurement.

I'm using a 2010 Macbook with the 320m, 4 gigs of ram.

I got a quite a boost with the newest update. My framerate went from 20 - 40 fps on badwater with 24 people to 27- 45.

I don't know what it was, but either the Uber update or the update of 10.6.8 really boosted my performance. Arena is running very smooth now, still get some lag in 2fort, but I turn down my settings a bit and it works better.

For reference, I have a late 2008 Macbook pro, 3gb RAM, 2.4ghz intel dual core, nvidia 9600gt.

I noticed a big performance boost on my 15 in. early 2008 MacBook Pro 2.6 GHz core 2 duo 4GB ddr2 GT8600. I don't game too much on it but I noticed my boot up and down are improved by at least X3 and I'm very happy for that

Yeah I'm not too sure if it was the 10.6.8 or Uber Update helped (maybe both) too but quite a lot less stuttering.
However, I've been getting more subsequent crashes that seems to be related to over heating. (ex. I crash once, hl2_osx quits and I relaunch the game, minutes into the new game I crash again unless I reboot and try again a while later)

I have a Mac Pro with the 8800 GT and this update helped immensely. Before, the fan on the card used to go wild when i played Starcraft 2, Any Source game etc, but after the update its quiet. Also I get alot better performance in source games and sc2.

I'm using the same MBP, but the 2.53 GHz with 4GB of RAM and I'm not seeing much improvement.

Tuxedo38, could you tell me if you're using -gl_enable_scaled_resolve? Also, any other launch options?

Thanks!

TF2 crashes since I updated to 10.6.8
Might be something else, but it was working fine yesterday morning before I updated...

Really? spamming again?

10.6.8 has brought minimal improvements on my MacBookPro5,5. Nothing groundbreaking on my end

More info on 10.6.8 graphics can be found here. I noticed a great improvement after the OS X Update but then TF2 started crashing after the June 28 update.
