How many hours have you played?

I have my receipt for the game right here. I bought the game on November 16, 2010 at a Best Buy, because I was nooby and didn't know that nobody buys PC games on discs anymore. But since then, I have put in 116 hours (4 days and 4 hours) Is that a lot, or a little for the amount of time that I have had the game?

If you're a casual gamer, that's a fair amount of time you've played. If you're someone who considers FPS a necessity of life, then you're way off.

For me, I purchesed the VCP on the first of July, 2010, and a few days after that is when I started playing CS:S. Since then I've only played 830 hours (34 days). Most of those hours wouldn't be there if I had never stopped playing TF2 (Quit shortly after the Polycount update).

Out of curiosity, are you any good at the game? Because it wasn't until about 300~ hours in that I actually started getting kills .

When did steam start counting hours anyways?

I have 820 hours on the steam counter, but it started counting when I already had stopped playing regularly. I have since 2006, I'd really like to know what the actual time is. Because I suppose it must be around 3000-4000 hours, lolo :3

Lolicon (you chose this name, why), you should try playing and becoming good at CS1.6 and then switch back to source. That renders you awesome because in 1.6, you can shoot through all walls, most weapons become entirely inaccurate after the first two-three shots, you can dodge faster, player models are smaller, there's strafe jumping and directional footstep sounds are more ambiguous. Also, CS1.6 still has all the pretentious E-sp0rt fighters who have been kicking since 1999.

If you can get a 1:1 KD in 1.6 you can already get an 3:1 in CS:S.

1340 hours since I bought it 3 years ago.

I started killing people more often around the 200 hour mark, but I still needed lots of practice for those far ranged shots.

Finally got the hang of the game around the 1000 hour mark though :P , its a hard game to get used to, but if you give it time, then it'll get much better.

Well I actually have 1.6 but never play it. The only reason I bought it is because I needed something to play before I got my graphics card.

Yeah I'm not very good at it, yet. It's a relief to know that I'm not the only person. I thought that 116 hours was a lot, so I thought that because I was played for 116 and was still doing ty, then there was no hope XD

Didn't steam stats only start tracking since mar 2009? (not positive about this)

but it claims I've done about 800 hours, I'm sure I'm more like in the high thousands, maybe even two thousand and more, I've been around since on steam since 2005?
