TF2 questions, VERY IMPORTANT!?!

Hey guys I recently bought the orange box because I enjoy playing tf2 on PC so much.

I was wondering does the xbox360 version of tf2 have items, and the ability to craft?

and would you guys mind telling me any other differences between the xbox and PC version?

Also: i just read this and I'm wondering if it's true? because if it is its very exciting

But more importantly please answer about the differences between systems

thank you

Imagine pc version without any patches, unlockables, hats, crafting, mannco store, new maps and you are pretty close.

Did you read the posting? "The next Big update will be for the Scout."
And now that TF2 is free, there is no need for updating the consoles.

Anything and everything before the Medic Update or Meet the Heavy Release. Which ever one came with weapons first. Last update was July 2009.

Yeah, there hasn't been any news on updates for the 360 in two years. Not even one single new map; if you play on consoles you'll get to enjoy endless games of 2fort, Dustbowl, Granary, Well, Gravel Pit, and Hydro like the rest of us have been doing for four years.

(There have been a few "updates", but those contained no new content, only a few bug fixes. The latest patch in summer of 09 contained a setting for class limits).

I really want the items and updates to the classes, and ofcourse maps. with the item drops and stuff, can you actually craft NEW weapons? and can you actually wear these hats?

Why would you pick up Orange Box on Xbox 360 when you already have it on PC?! TF2 has gotten no bug/glitch fixes, class updates or new maps since it launched. Not hats either but that doesn't change the game every much.

I suggest you take that over-priced coaster back to wherever you got it and get your money back.

Don't take your game back. 5 games for 10-20 dollars is a good deal considering most games for the 360 are 60 dollars. Also tf2 for the 360 is good because everyone is equal and we have a better community. You should at least try tf2 for the 360 and c how good it is because it is simple and original, before you make any decisions.

Sorry man, the Xbox 360 version of TF2 doesn't have new weapons or maps or anything like that. It's still the most fun game on the Xbox 360 though.

I just enjoy playing on xbox much more! Not sure why, maybe more friends, more relaxing and comfortable controller.

I have faith that they'll update xbox eventually. They gotta! especially after the uber update they should atleast give us something, new weapons and an item system would make this game so much more addicting

I don't get why the games so popular there's nothing to work for and its so hard to kill people, even being very experienced on PC sometimes skill doesn't matter. Its weird

There are no "new" weapons on the consle but in modded matches, there are modified weapons that make the consle more interesting and fun.
In the modded matches, there are modified versions of the stock weapons that are provided to each class from the start. Because of the lack of updates, there is no real variation in team fortress 2 for the console anymore. The modified weapons and the modded matches are the only relative versions of a "update" that the console has and will ever get. In my opinion, the modded matches and modified weapons are great and give some variety to the neglected console version that we know of today. The only way to get hats in the console version is to mod and the modders just attach a prop to their head. There are only three props that actually resemble hats in the game so it is extreamly limited in that category. The only way you are going to find any hint of variation in the console version is to join a modded match otherwise just go back to the PC version. I recently obtained the PC version of Team Fortress 2 and I will always like the console version better because of its simplicity and its balance. Its your choice. I recommend keeping it and playing it. It is the right choice.

It's true that they should, but they aren't going to. At least that's how I feel about it now. The Uber Update knocked out any hope I had in it.

I still play it though. I love it to death.
